Partial Hospitalization Program for Adults

Our Jenkintown location offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adults (ages 18+). This program is intended to exclusively meet the needs of adults who may be experiencing mental health symptoms due to increased anxiety, pressure, depression, helplessness and difficulty managing life stressors and transitions. PHP is designed for individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis. This may include generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, bipolar, OCD or PTSD.

The treatment team utilizes traditional and holistic therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, yoga, art therapy, psychoeducation and aromatherapy. Clients receive individualized care from a psychiatric provider, therapists and holistic trainers. Our PHP is offered five days a week for fours a day.

Young Adult PHP

This program is intended to exclusively meet the needs of young adults ages 18-24 who may be experiencing mental health symptoms due to increased anxiety, pressure, depression, helplessness and difficulty managing life stressors and transitions. They will target areas such as setting healthy boundaries, improving communication skills, increasing behavioral activation, exploring career goals and independent living skills, and building confidence and insight into current choices and actions. The Young Adult PHP track will also encourage expression of feelings, thoughts and opinions connected to sexuality and orientation in a safe and supportive space. This program is provided Monday-Friday from 9:30am to 1:30pm.

Women's Trauma PHP

Traumatic events can cause long-lasting damage to virtually all aspects of an individual’s life, having emotional, psychological, physical, spiritual and relational effects. The decision to enter a trauma treatment program demonstrates both great courage and hope for something better.

The Light Program is a place where every woman can find a life worth living. We provide a warm, welcoming and inclusive space for all women. We aim to create an environment that helps each individual to feel safe, worthy, comforted and connected to their therapist and peers. Many women with trauma in their history battle major depressive disorders, anxiety, panic, physical pain, substance abuse, eating disorders and a plethora of other issues. Trauma can be extremely complex and hard to treat using outdated modalities that are not as effective.

Our Women’s Trauma PHP is based on the most up-to-date and advanced models of treatment. These models have been proven to lead to successful treatment outcomes, assisting women in coping, understanding, managing and healing. Our programming involves in-depth evaluation, symptom management, treatment planning, stabilization and discharge planning. While in our care, every patient receives a multidisciplinary, individualized treatment plan that best fits their needs. This can include treatment such as comprehensive evaluation by a psychiatrist, medication management, evidence-based modality treatment using mindfulness cognitive behavioral therapy (MCBT), group and individual therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and trauma-focused therapy as well as expressive therapies that include art, yoga, music, writing and movement.

Our female-led Trauma PHP sessions average three to five weeks in length and are held Monday through Friday from 8:30am-12:30pm.

Intensive Outpatient Program for Adults and Teens

Our Jenkintown location offers Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for adults (ages 18+) and adolescents (ages 14-18). This group provides a more structured program than weekly counseling sessions with a therapist. The core IOP treatment method involves group therapy sessions—individual and family counseling sessions can be scheduled on an as-needed basis. The Light Program utilizes a variety of therapies, such as:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
  • Motivational interviewing
  • Group processing
  • Skill-building exercises

Our counselors work to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that best meets the individual's mental health needs. When medication is necessary, we will refer the individual to one of our psychiatric providers. Our IOP is offered four days a week for two hours and 15 minutes.

Women's Trauma IOP

Our Jenkintown location also offers a therapy group specifically for adult females. This group will benefit adult females who may be experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, or a history of trauma and/or abuse.
