About This Location
The Light Program’s Jenkintown location serves Montgomery County with quality behavioral health care. Our offices are on Old York Road across from Noble Town Center, and next to the Noble bus stop. We currently accept commercial insurance or self-pay clients.
Partial Hospitalization Program for Adults
Our Jenkintown location offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adults (ages 18+). This program is intended to exclusively meet the needs of adults who may be experiencing mental health symptoms due to increased anxiety, pressure, depression, helplessness and difficulty managing life stressors and transitions. PHP is designed for individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis. This may include generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, bipolar, OCD or PTSD.
The treatment team utilizes traditional and holistic therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, yoga, art therapy, psychoeducation and aromatherapy. Clients receive individualized care from a psychiatric provider, therapists and holistic trainers. Our PHP is offered five days a week for fours a day.
Intensive Outpatient Program for Adults and Teens
Our Jenkintown location offers Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for adults (ages 18+) and adolescents (ages 14-18). This group provides a more structured program than weekly counseling sessions with a therapist. The core IOP treatment method involves group therapy sessions—individual and family counseling sessions can be scheduled on an as-needed basis. The Light Program utilizes a variety of therapies, such as:
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
- Motivational interviewing
- Group processing
- Skill-building exercises
Our counselors work to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that best meets the individual's mental health needs. When medication is necessary, we will refer the individual to one of our psychiatric providers. Our IOP is offered four days a week for two hours and 15 minutes.
Women's Trauma IOP
Our Jenkintown location also offers a therapy group specifically for adult females. This group will benefit adult females who may be experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, or a history of trauma and/or abuse.
This group is designed to address the unique needs of adults who are struggling to stabilize their mental health while exploring evidence-based substance use treatment options. Clients receive comprehensive treatment in a small group setting to ensure personalized attention and optimum intensive, therapeutic support.
Young Adult IOP
This group is intended to exclusively meet the needs of young adults ages 18-26 who may be experiencing mental health symptoms due to an increase of anxiety, stress, pressure and/or depression from life stressors. Clients will learn to develop coping mechanisms and improve their skill sets to apply to their overall wellness.
