Partial Hospitalization for Teens

Our Exton location offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for teens ages 14-18. PHP is designed for teens with a primary mental health diagnosis and works well for teens with a strong support system who have difficulty managing their symptoms. This may include generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, bipolar, OCD or PTSD. The treatment team will use a variety of interventions to address the mental health symptoms, through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and experiential techniques. In addition, our PHP program also implements holistic therapy into the individual's treatment through art therapy, music therapy, trauma-sensitive yoga and more.

Teens in our PHP will be able to meet with our psychiatric provider to discuss medications and express their thoughts on symptoms related to medication. Our PHP has a partnership with LearnWell to be a valuable resource for teens in maintaining continuity of schooling while in treatment. LearnWell is an licensed, private program of educators which coordinates with your child's school to help your child stay up to date with their schoolwork.

Intensive Outpatient Program for Adults and Teens

Our Exton location offers intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for adults (ages 18+) and adolescents (14-18). This program provides a more structured program than weekly counseling sessions with a therapist. The core IOP treatment method involves group therapy sessions - individual and family counseling sessions ca be scheduled on an as-needed basis. The Light Program utilizes a variety of therapies, such as:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
  • Motivational interviewing
  • Group processing
  • Skill-building exercises

Our counselors work to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that best meets the individual's mental health needs. When medication is necessary, we will refer the individual to one of our psychiatric providers. Our IOP is offered four days a week for two hours and 15 minutes.

Anxiety & OCD IOP

Anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) are among some of the most prevalent mental health conditions. However, access to treatment that focuses on these conditions can be difficult to find. As such, we are excited to offer specialized anxiety and OCD treatment that will focus on helping individuals who experience anxiety, panic disorders and OCD diagnosis. Every patient receives a multidisciplinary treatment plan and individualized care that fits their needs and goals. This includes in-depth evaluation, symptom management, treatment planning, stabilization, and discharge planning.

Our program will utilize evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and exposure response prevention (ERP) techniques to treat and reduce symptoms of anxiety and OCD disorders. This will include learning mindfulness and other coping skills tailored to help anxiety and OCD as well as participating in low-level exposure therapy to further reduce symptoms. This warm and inviting environment tailored to the needs of anxiety and OCD will be a great place to start or continue your healing journey in managing these diagnosis. All are welcomed to participate including those with past trauma who are not yet ready to work on it.

This Anxiety IOP will be available Monday through Thursday from 10:00AM to 12:15pm at the Exton location. Sessions will average between six to eight weeks in length.
