Partnership: the state or condition of being a partner, participation, association, joint interest.
Counseling is a Partnership
Welcome! We applaud your courage and curiosity. You are seeking counseling. But wait–how is this a partnership? You pay us and we tell you what to do. Right?
You are here because something in your life is causing negative consequences. We are here to partner with you as you discover what needs to change. You may already know the answer. We are here to listen, validate, feed back to you what we hear and participate in finding the solution.
It’s interesting how we begin as total strangers and form an association of trust.
We are invested in you in a different way, without judgement or strings attached to the outcome. Our goal for you is for you to achieve the change that you identified when we first met. Sometimes there are surprises, like new or different goals. We will go there with you.
Walking into a room without knowing the person on the other side of the door and agreeing to share honestly about distress or heartbreak or failure? You are our hero. We wait happily for you to show up. And when you find your way, or are less afraid to keep looking, we are proud of you, we are here for you.
You can count on us to be your partner. Just come along for the ride. Your seat is open and we can’t wait to sit beside you during this journey together: the journey of hope.
